Pausing and personalising the assistant
Pause it, choose how much it writes, its language and its reading level. Community admins can turn it off.

Open Settings, then Assistant.
- Pause the assistant: drafts and summaries then use simple rules only. Nothing you write is sent to an AI model while it is paused.
- How much it writes: Brief keeps drafts short. Detailed adds a little more context.
- Language: the language drafts are written in, or your community’s choice.
- Reading level: plain language uses shorter sentences and everyday words.
In your communities
Community admins can turn the assistant off for their community, and set its language and audience. Your settings page shows whether it is on in each of your communities.
These are settings, not instructions. The assistant cannot be told to do anything else.
