What X-hunt is.
What is X-hunt, in one line?
A place to offer what you know to the communities and organisations you belong to, and to meet people only when you both say yes.
Is it a freelance marketplace?
No. There is no bidding and no public ranking of people. It is built for help between people who share something: a community, a programme or a cause. How we are different.
What does it cost?
Nothing for members. Communities and organisations are free during the pilot. We will publish prices before anyone is charged.

You stay in control.
Who can see my profile?
Nobody, until you choose. Each part has its own setting: only you, the stewards of your communities, members of your communities, or organisations you connect with.
Can people message me out of the blue?
No. Messages open only after an introduction you both accepted. There is no public inbox.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. Read the privacy notice.
Where is my data kept?
In the European Union, under GDPR. You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from Settings.
How do you keep people safe?
Anyone can report a post or a person, stewards and our team review reports, and every moderation decision can be appealed. Trust and safety.
Help with words, never decisions about people.
What does the AI do?
It drafts your profile from one sentence, suggests clearer wording, summarises and answers questions from the help centre. Everything it writes is labelled and editable.
Does the AI decide who I meet?
No. AI never introduces, scores or ranks people. Introductions come from a steward or a person, with a reason they wrote.
Can I switch it off?
Yes. Pause the assistant in Settings › Assistant and nothing you write is sent to an AI model. X-hunt works fully without it. How we use AI.

Which countries can use X-hunt?
Anyone with an email address can join. We designed it with communities in Ireland, the rest of Europe, Nigeria and across Africa in mind, including diaspora groups that work between them.
Does it work on a slow connection or an older phone?
Yes. Pages are light, it installs as an app from your browser, and you sign in with a link or a code, so there is no password to reset.
Which languages are available?
English today. More languages are planned; tell us which ones your community needs.
Can I use it across time zones?
Yes. Opportunities say where and when work happens, and workspaces let people in Dublin, Lagos and Nairobi work on the same task.

How do I join?
Enter your email, open the link or type the code we send, and write one sentence about what you could help with. About two minutes.
How do I bring my community or organisation?
Sign in with your work email and request a space. We review each request by hand during the pilot. Partnerships and pilots.
Can I invite a friend?
Yes. Share an invitation by email, WhatsApp or a link.
