The steward console
Set up your space, see what members shared with stewards, make introductions and automate small chores.
For: Stewards, Organisations · Checked 27 October 2026
If you are a steward, your community page has a button to open the console. The Console page lists every space you run, with its counts and setup progress.
Getting set up
New spaces open on a Setup checklist: say what the community is for, seed your first members, link where you already gather, post a welcome update and open a first opportunity.
People
You see only what members chose to share with stewards, in one table. Each time the directory loads, the view is recorded in the audit log. Where exports are included in your plan, you can download the same table as a CSV.
Introducing two members
Open the Introduce tab and choose two people.
Write a short sentence about why they should meet.
The first person is asked, then the second. Neither sees the other until both say yes.
You can suggest the same pair once every 90 days.
Automations
Automations take small chores off your list. Each one starts from an event, such as someone expressing interest or a new member joining, and does one thing: posts a notice for stewards, adds a task to a workspace, or adds a line to a workspace log. A community can have up to 20. They never make decisions about people.
Roles and settings
Community admins can make a member a steward, or back. Admins also set the description, whether the community can be found in Discover, how people join, branding, and the assistant’s settings for the community.
